Join us this Saturday at the Fang Suo Commune Bookstore for a talk with young Kazakh writer Aydos Amantay, to celebrate the release of Chutzpah! Issue 14, "Roots," featuring works by non-Han Chinese authors.
Born in 1989, Aydos Amantay graduated from No. 171 High School in Beijing and is currently pursuing a degree in Kazakh literature at Al-Farabi University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. In 2007, he published his first collection of poetry, and in 2013, his first novel. His works have appeared in Ethnic Literature, West, Youth Literature, and Chutzpah!.
