Event: Ou Ning interviews Xinjiang writers at Today Art Museum

This Sunday, Chutzpah! chief editor Ou Ning will interview three writers from Xinjiang—Alat Asem, Liu Liangcheng, and Li Juan—as part of the opening for Liu Xiaodong's Hotan Project at the Today Art Museum in Beijing. To these three writers, all of whom were featured in Chutzpah's Issue 11 ("Xinjiang Time"), Ou Ning will pose the following questions: What values are shared by the people of Central Asia? How did these common values come to be, how have they functioned in Central Asian history and daily life, and what role do they play in creating mutual recognition among the peoples who live together in Central Asia? A book signing will follow.

Right now, a perfect day. Humidity speuospd to return by late tomorrow. BUT I am not complaining. Tomorrow we're planning on a little 'treasure hunting' - yard sales, flea markets, antique shops.
